Winter Wonderland

We like going to Blue Mountain. Unlike most people, we don't go there to ski but for the Scandinave Spa. It was like a winter wonderland when we went in mid-Feb. I think we almost picked the coldest day of the year to go. When we got to the spa, they weren't ready to open because of the extreme weather. We travelled such a long way! Fortunately, they were able to open up the bath eventually after two hours waiting.

We left the spa around 5 in the afternoon and headed back to Toronto for Korean BBQ dinner. It was a perfect long weekend until the car accident happened...

It was truly an unforgettable day! Hope C has learned his lesson. And I thank God that no one got hurt.

Biweekly Treat to Myself

I treat myself to eyelash extension + manicure + facial every other Saturday.
Although I live in downtown Toronto, C will always drive me up to North York on Saturday afternoon and see these very skillful Korean ladies. I would first go to one spa to get an eyelash extension refill, and while one lady working on my eyelash, another lady would give me a manicure at the same time.
#that's how it's done
One hour later, I would usually find myself lying down in another spa two doors down for a facial. I have sensitive skin and adult acne issue. It's not major but annoying. I trust the Koreans on aesthetics. They are amazing and always get the job done for a reasonable price.
C was already waiting for me in the car after I walked out of my facial spa. I rushed into the car and I looked into the back seats to see what he picked up for dinner...
And I found these...

I am grateful for these little simple things in life.
#you just need to feel it and never take it for granted

Le Week-End

It's officially March in 2015. Although Spring is supposed to come in a few weeks, it's still freezing cold in the True North - Toronto. Apparently, 23 days out of the 28 days in February had extreme cold weather alert.
Weekend was always nice.
Our car was recalled but we finally went to the dealership and took care of it. I am one satisfied BMW car owner despite the little glitch.
And...we finally went for Dim Sum! We waited 30 minutes for a table, but it was worth it. Chinese New Year has come and gone. Sometimes I feel sad knowing that I will never be able to spend another Chinese New Year like I used to when I was a little kid...I do think of my family who are far away on the other side of the world, but I have made my choice long ago.

Year no.7 and counting...
